It's not what the scale says that's imprtant. It's your body composition that matters. Get your BC checked by a qualified trainer at a health club. Weight training (nothing real heavy needed), moderate aerobics, and proper nutrition (small meals: eating complex carbs, lean proten, healthy fats eaten every 3-31/2 hrs) will cause healthy weight control. We tend to lose muscle and gain fat as we age, and these 3 items working together can slow that process down and may even reverse it.
