I was reviewing the four points you have listed at the conclusion of your post. I can finally say I have successfully eliminated chocolate candy bars from my diet for the past 3 weeks! I am now focusing on eliminating all candy bars from my diet. One of my favorite afternoon snacks was a peanut butter and chocolate candy bar with a Mtn. Dew. I said I was giving myself a boost of energy to make it to the end of my work day. But the fact was I was only giving myself a sugar high following by a serious energy crash that followed soon after.
Now I am relying on complex carbohydrates to boost my energy. I strive everyday to walk at least once a day and am hopeful to gradually increase my distance. I have noticed I do feel better about myself at the end of the day when I have lived up to my own expectations.
I continue to study and improve my overall eating habits and daily choices, in the hopes of achieving my ultimate goal of a healthy weight and more importantly, a healthy lifestyle.
