I consider myself moderately healthy. I am 5'6", 170 lbs, BMI 27.3, B/P around 116/70, fasting glucose is in normal limits. I always wear a seatbelt while in the car, drink water daily (but not enough), floss my teeth every night, get about 6-8 hrs of sleep every night (but it's interrupted sleep).
The main strengths I bring to this weight-loss journey is a true desire to live a healthy, happy life, and the enjoyment of gardening and brisk outdoor walks.
Long-term goals; (1) Lose 30 lbs. (2) Stick with the ladies hiking group that I recently joined (apx 4 hour hike once a month). (3) Keep my LDL to within normal limits.
Short-term goals; (1) Increase my daily water intake to at least 64 oz. (2) Make each meal predominantly vegetable and grain based. (3) At least 3 times a week, get at least 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise.
