I am very happy to announce that I have lost my first 10 pounds and I will keep going. I started by adding fruits and vegetables to my diet and then I decided to get rid of anything with additives and sugar in it. Finally, I decided to eat vegetarian from Monday to Friday to remember to cut down on how much meat I eat but I have increased how many nuts and seeds I eat to get the good fats in my diet; particularly walnuts. The first 10 pounds took a lot of courage because it didn't look like I was going to lose any weight for a long time. I am haveing a hard time with one of my resolutions to eat out only at healthy, organic restaurants, I still want to go back to places like Asian restaurants that do not care where their meat comes from or what kind of vegetables they serve I am determined to keep this resolution and thought of the idea of going to the organic restaurants but try ordering something I've never had before. Usually I go to the same two or three organic restaurants and order the same thing. Maybe that's why I still want more variety.
