Good Morning Everyone!
Hoping everyone is doing well. It's a sunny day here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with an expected high of eighteen degrees (F). This is the last weekend before Christmas and retailers are expecting a huge turnout of shoppers. Especially in Minnesota. Here's a little newsclip from the Associated Press:
ROSEVILLE, Minn. (AP) -- A winter storm wiped out last weekend's holiday shopping, so Twin Cities retailers are bracing for an onslaught of business this weekend.
Rosedale Center mall spokeswoman Liz Ostrander predicts Saturday will be "an absolute zoo." The Roseville mall has been running two huge snow-melting machines 24/7 to clear its 5,600 parking places.
At Woodbury Lakes mall, its 54 retailers are hoping to make up this weekend for business lost by closing early last Saturday. Mall of America in Bloomington is expecting Saturday's crowds to rival Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press says the Mall of America will use Twitter to direct shoppers to available parking.
I don't know if any of you are movie goers, but today the movie theaters will open with the followings movies (links are to moviefone.com): TRON: Legacy, Yogi Bear (2010) and How Do You Know
I myself would like to see TRON.
Living in Wisconsin and being a Green Bay Packer fan, It appears that QB Aaron Rodgers is unlikely to play Sunday night in New England. We will see how well our Packers fare against the hottest team in the NFL.
And Dallas Cowboys' QB, Tony Romo (he grew up in Burlington, Wisconsin) is now engaged.
My family is originally from Texas, with some family living in Wisconsin, which makes it very interesting how our family is filled with Packer fans and Cowboy fans, especially whenever the two teams face other.
Many things going on today and this weekend (weekends are always busy for me) and would like to hear what you have planned for this weekend. Otherwise, I'll catch up with you next week!
