In Response to RE: MERRY CHRISTMAS by patvar
I agree. The holiday season is not easy. I have my two sons and that is a blessing. This is my 2nd Christmas without my husband, I miss him so much. Baking cookies, brings back cherished memories I use to have to hide the cookies that I baked and the fruit cake too, because if I didn't, my husband would get into them before Christmas What I wouldn't give to have him back but that is something I know can never be. My mother and father, grandparents, uncles and aunts are all gone, but you know as you said, there are so many people feeling down right now, I think you have to look at life and be grateful for what you do have. God blessed us with two wonderful sons 10 years after we were married. We had 47 years together. I have a roof over my head, infact, it's the home we bought together about 43 years ago. I have plenty to eat and I am warm, and it is" cold outside. "" Oh yea, I had a spell yesterday, thinking of all the good times in the past. That sometimes doesn't do anything but to make you feel worse. Death, is something that we know will come to all of us. I am just so grateful for the years that we did have together. So many people are without the things that I take for granted sometimes. It's hard to be positive at times but I find I feel better after I've been able to laugh at something.
God Bless and have a Merry Christmas
