Thanksgiving Greetings to one and all ~
Here in the Central Sierra, we're enjoying a lovely day. It's 9:30AM here; many of you are well into enjoying/getting ready to enjoy your Thanksgiving feast and fellowship. Yesterday my daughter and son-in-law, who live in Birmingham, Michigan, sent me an e-card and left me a phone message. I did the same. Today, probably later in the evening, we'll call and actually speak together. They are university professors who have solid careers; they're native Californians who miss the West Coast and would like the opportunity to return 'home'. I would be delighted if they moved back to California...or at least somewhere on the West Coast! Rich is a sculptor, a professor of art, and a "chef"! He does practically all the cooking in their household; he creates 'magically delicious' dishes! Today he is busy preparing Thanksgiving dinner; Mary Elizabeth is his trusty assistant. My grandcanines, Bassetts Tatiana and Luciano, lend support as well, lol! I look forward to spending Christmas week with them!
Today I will celebrate Thanksgiving with Episcopal Church members from all over California; we will enjoy a feast and fellowship at the ECCO conference center in nearby Oakhurst; it's a lovely retreat close to Yosemite. In closing, I wish all of you love, laughter, joy, celebration, happiness, and serenity on this special day and at this precious time of the year. Many poignant memories flood my mind; at times, my heart senses how emotionally 'fragile' it is...and I am.
God bless and keep you and yours! Cheers, Anna
