In Response to Now another loss by brich09
...Hi, Beth ~ I'm sorry that you lost your beloved doggie; please accept my wishes of comfort! Yes, I enjoyed talking to my doggies; they were my 'children' before ~ and after ~ I had my daughter! Heintz and Heidi, miniature dacshunds, were one year apart in age & lived 18 years each; they have been gone for some time now. I have their ashes here in my Sierra home. I also have the ashes of my beloved kitty Emily, a tiny manx who loved to talk to 'me'!
I do so enjoy traveling; I drive to and from my Sierra home to the Bay Area, where I work and stay in my tiny apt. during the work week. I'll retire at the end of this school year. At that time, I'll give some thought to getting another 'pair' of doggies; Corgies are high on my list. We'll see. I'd like to have training for them and me to do 'therapy work' in hospitals and convalescent homes.
Beth, take good care of yourself as you travel and stay busy. I have you in my thoughts and prayers. I love your description of your doggie...& your Steve...finding each other.....in celestial bliss!
