In Response to To Rome with Love by BaronVonTollbooth
I saw To Rome with Love yesterday. While I enjoy most Woody Allen films, to me, this movie was good not great when compared to Midnight in Paris and Vicky, Cristina, Barcelona. After seeing it, I read two reviews and was not surprised to learn that the man who played the father who sang in the shower, is in fact, a world renown opera singer. I agree with Baron - "seeing this film would not make you a Woody Allen fan, but if you are do not miss it." I had a problem with Alec Baldwin's character and so it seemed did the critics! I like how A.O. Scott summed it up - "The limitations of “To Rome With Love,” as frothy as the milk atop a cappuccino, are finally inseparable from its delights."
