Are ther any saddlers or leathercraft artists around? I have enjoyed tooling for many years now. I became interested in leather as a "canvas" when I was recovering from back surgery and had plenty of time on my hands. I started with small projects and discovered the beuatiful figure tooling work of AL and Ann Stholman. I read every book I could get my hands on and bought a few more tools and eventually opened my own leather shop. I have added a couple of pictures to the group photos and would love to meet any other toolers out there. Betty
It takes a real artist to do leather work. When I was in hight school, one of my parents' friends made a loose leaf binder out of leather. He hand tooled it himself. I was the envy of every boy in my class when I toted that binder with the cowboy on the bucking bronco. Think one of my cousins or my brother got hold of it when my dad passed away.
