I can remember now, just like it was yesterday, the months before retirement. I often wondered what I would do everyday. I enjoyed work. I looked forward to it. While I was at work, I worked hard and enjoyed it. People around me often said: "Marie, you'll never retire" I wondered.....What will I do all day.
How about sharing in this thread how you spend your days in retirement......mine later??
Definition of retiement: set your own schedule
For the first time you have complete control of your day. Regardless of your job position there was always someone to answer to. No more.
As a retiree you do not want to be a couch potato. Instead you relearn what is 'fun'. Is it volunteering in your particlular field of expertiese or in a new field?; Return to school?; Teach others your skills?; Travel? Or is it a little of all of these. The big difference in retirement is that everyting is available and everything is your choice.
Retired 3 years, still learning and enjoying the ride.
