I worked in Mansfield, Ohio at a General Motors (MFD) plant . My plant closed and I took what I call an Age descrimination buyout. I was very blessed to have my thirty years. My problem is I am 52 and wish to continue in a career. I am a journeyman electrician with an ASSET in electronics. I decided to enter into DeVry University Bachelor Biomedical Engineer Technology program under the TAA/TRA. I met all requirements except cost. I hold a 1976 certificate as an Electronic Technician from DeVry and a 1993 IVY Tech ASSET diploma. DeVry is the only school in Ohio to accept my credits which allow me to obtain the Bachelor Degree in the alloted time frame. With the Bachelor I could teach in a Vocational field,or repair medical equipment other any school I enter will just be another assiociate degree.
