In Response to RE: Telemedicine Service & Opportunity Spurs New Wave in Healthcare Availability by AileenAlannah
Thanks for your great inputI The telemedicine service is a subscription plan costing $30/month with an additional $20 fee for licensed physician diagnosis with or without prescription(s). The plan covers you, your spouse or significant other and up to four dependents for the one low monthly fee. As far as prescriptions, licensed physicians (American licensed and reside in the U.S.) are not able to prescribe certain DEA-controlled substances such as painkillers, amphetamines, etc..
The telemedicine service includes your access to a secure, online database, where your medical history is entered upon enrollment. When you call into an 800 number for services, your medical record is reviewed by attending physicians before they make the decision to diagnose or consult only (no additional charge for consults). Your medical records are updated for each intervention you initiate.
Another feature that is extremely exciting is the medical advocacy service. Medical advocates are available to review your billing questions... approximately 3 out of 4 bills are reduced by advocate review, negotiations and settlement with medical providers. This service is included in your monthly subscription fee.
All of these services aforementioned can save subscribers a tremendous amount of $$$ spent on medical care, far surpassing the cost of the monthly fee. As a former paramedic of 20 years, I am a subscriber/user and rest easy knowing that this service is available to me 24/7 and wherever my travels may take me in the U.S..

Again, this service is NOT health insurance and it is recommended that you maintain adequate health insurance from a responsible provider. It is designed to complement NOT replace your primary care physician.
I hope this has answered your questions/concerns about telemedicine services.
