i too have fibromyalgia and totally agree with you about massage therapy. I used to get a massage every 2 weeks and it was extremely helpful. At this point I can no longer afford massage and my insurace wont pay for it. I take a combination of pain meds to enable me to work. I will be very happy when I figure out how to be able to get massage thereapy again. The best med I have found for my fibro is gabapentin -- I get very good results from it and I have switched from hydrocodone to tramdol. but the meds make me feel weird sometimes and If I am not up and doing something I want to sleep. I think it is a shame that insurance will pay for all kinds of drugs but not for massage and vitamin thereapy -- or whirlpool treatfments. wirlpool hot tub is very helpful for me but I can't afford health club membership anymore because I can't do the kind of work I used to because of the pain.
A doctor friend of mine whose wife suffers with fibromyalgia turned me on to an incrdible nutritional supplement that accelerates the body's production of natural Glutathione. She has had great relief from the symptoms. The product claims to increase overall energy, increase deep sleep, improve concentration, removes heavy metals and toxins, decreses inflammation and a number of other good things for the body and every promise came true for me. Check out information on this product and do some research on Glutathione.
You can find out about it at www.maxgxlnashville.com. Go to the MaxGXL page and then click on creator and check out Dr. Robert Keller's CV and click on the CD and listen to him explain the product, his research and his product. You will be glad you did. Pat
