Our greed brought us to a state of Bankruptcy. Nothing else!
It is quite possible that Socialism as well as Capitalism might have filed due to the same problem namely human greed.
As far I am concerned, the The President is doing fine. I think he is a humanitarian concerned with common good at heart. He is respected by the world community and has been instrumental in making the US look much better abroad. I like AARP also.
I totally agree with Das. I could not wait for the end of the Bush Administration. I was almost embarrassed to be an American. What did he do for the American people except get us involved in a war we never should have started. That administration lied to the public over and over about how Iraq was involved in 9/11, until the gullible started to believe it.
Unfortunately, it's the people who listen to the likes of Limbaugh and Beck who are being scared into thinking that there will be death panels and other ghastly things attached to the Health bill. This country was already bankrupt before Obama took over. Actually, both sides of the aisle were happy with the housing boom because the Democrats liked the idea that anyone can own a home and the Republicans the fact that all their buddies were getting rich.
I'm sticking with aarp. I did not care for their endorsement of the Prescription Bill Plan, but I agree that the Health Care Plan deserves a chance. Too many people are losing their insurance because of loss of jobs or are being dropped because it's becoming too costly for the Insurance Companies to keep them. I have good insurance, but fear that I may be dropped because of some costly procedures I needed this past year. No one should feel the anxiety of the possibility of becoming bankrupt because of illness.
By the way, I like the fact that the Obamas had a date night. If anyone needs some time for himself and his family, it's him.
