that changed so many of us? For me (and my wife), we were married among the turmoil of the Democratic Convention, Viet Nam, and protests on campus. I was entering my Senior year, thinking about teaching (draft deferrment) or grad school (maybe draft deferment). Friends disappeared to military. I had done my required ROTC studies.
Affected by The Graduate ("Plactics, Benjamin. Plastics."), the Beatles, Stones, Simon & Garfunkel. Of course, King, Kennedy... I even remember where I was when LBJ declined the nomination, listening to HAIR, . Has it really been that long ago?
Hey, what can you say....sex, drugs and rock n' roll! And some very misguided politics and bumper sticker notions about being part of the problem if you're not part of the solution. Boy, thank God many of us have come a long way from that. Unfortunately, some people don't learn, and they still think Saul Alinsky and Che Guevarra are cool. We have a bunch now trying to impose these failed ideologies on this great country, but those of us who have learned something in those years since the 60's need to make sure that America is not destroyed by wrong headed radicals.
