I had the Shingles vaccine about a year ago. To my surprise, Medicare will not cover this vaccine and consequently, my secondary will not cover. When you mentioned pricey, you weren't kidding. I will have to pay almost $500.00 for the shot. I would have gladly paid the co-pay. Medicare claimes that LCD's (Local Coverage Determinations) help them decide what is covered. Is there anyone who can tell me what I can submit to them to get them to overturn their decision and what the heck are LCD's?
