In Response to RE: George Bush by Das9
There was an article in my newspaper today, about how younger people are using their brains differently, than people did even in the recent past. They say they're "multi-tasking" .. doing homework while listening to music, and texting intermittently to friends or being on their cell, and having the TV on sports with the sound off. Despite what people say to the contrary, it's shown that they aren't paying 100% attention to any of the things their doing, and are missing nuances in all of them. It's been found that younger generations are being unable to concentrate on a single activity for any length of time.
I saw a program on TV the other day, with students were talking about the amount of material they had to learn, and the pressure to do well, but if those studies are accurate, their bigger problem is that they're too "fractured" to concentrate & absorb what they need to!
