To celebrate the coming of summer, the National Park Service is waiving entrance fees at all parks on June 5 and 6.
From the birding caravan at Acadia in Maine to the 50th anniversary celebration at Bent’s Old Fort in Colorado to Yellowstone where I'll be broadcasting my radio show, this weekend is all about America's national parks.
And remember, June 5 is National Trails Day, so ask about participating in trail cleanup and building activities.
The National Park Service entrance fees will also be waived on August 14 & 15, September 25, and November 11, 2010. Park fees usually range from $3 to $25 per vehicle.
