Hey Frodo, Listen, I think maybe Astrea is correct in that anytime you're messing around with real-estate you need solid legal agreements. And at my age 70, it's ill-advised to even buy large bunches of green bannanas! I am in unusually good health & shape for my age, but man, pple I know within a few years of me are being hospitalized and sometimes planted with alarming regularity. Sooo.. at the risk of sounding like the sensible shoes guy, I guess the best place for us old duffers is the little part-timers which we can walk away from with little notice, and not really hurt anyone else in the process-eh? There's always "Habitat for Humanity", if someone wants the physical outlet of construction. Of maybe a corporation could be set up where participants could buy in as "members" for a set investment. If something happened to that person, they/their family could cash out their membership.
