In Response to re: Yoga Conferences by CMarie
I am new to AARP and new to this group, but I have been doing yoga for quite a while now. I also host a week long yoga retreat in the South of France in September, so I'm so glad I saw your post! The retreat sounds like something you might be interested in. It's a small intimate week long reatreat of around 10 people. We all stay in one of the many rooms at Villa Plantat in the South of France. Classes focus on individual development as well as having fun. We also get together for wonderful Provencal style meals made with local produce, and served with local wine. You'll get a yoga workout, but not so much that you'll be too tired to enjoy swimming in our spring fed swimming lake, walking among the local vineyards, or hiking in the Cevennes.
Basically I started it on my own as something to share with my friends, but everyone enjoyed it so much, I've decided to open it up to others. It's not a workshop, or a convention. It's doing yoga with a collective group of wonderful people in a beautiful location.
I am hosting this September's retreat from the 19th-26th if you are interested. Pease take a look at the website and feel free to message me if you have any questions! I hope to hear from you, and good luck in your quest for a yoga retreat!
