Once upon a time, TV & radio announcers had full-bodied resonating voices, and a good command of the English language. Now, not so much!
I just watched part of a video on USA today, about who might play Hilary Clinton, in the BIOPIC "Rodham". I didn't watch the whole thing, because after the 2nd time the female announcer pronounced that "bi'opic" .. as rhyming with myopic, rather than Bio'Pic (which also serves to explain that it's a biographical movie) .. I just couldn't stand it anymore.
Don't they run through these things before filming? Is biopic such a tough word?! :( Do you have any favorites of "How did he/she ever get that job?!"
