This may be a little off-topic, but then again, maybe not since it affects all TV programs. The CALM Bill introduced by Anna Eshoo of CA in 2008 passed in Sept. 2010 to lower the volume of TV commercials to no louder than the actual program, where you don't have to dive for the mute button every time the commercials come on-why hasn't that taken effect yet? Why does it take so darn long for bills that are passed to become effective? I watch less TV because of the annoying, obnoxious commercials and vow not to buy their products whenever possible. Our Cable companies raise our rates and we get to watch more and more commercials, sometimes as many as 10-15 each commercial break which may happen ever 7 minutes. Is that what we are paying for? Shouldn't we have an option to have the commercials deleted if we pay more each month to even watch TV? I thought the CALM Bill would alleviate that, but it hasn't yet.
