It's sad with all those kids that the marriage didn't work. I watched the show it's first couple of years and they both seemed very devoted to their kids. I marveled at how well behaved those kids were. Some people can't even handle one or two. LOL I did think she was on Jon's case way too much but who knows what went on behind the scenes. He apparently didn't like the idea of the show and she loved it. But how else could they afford to take care of all those children?
Many public figures have ghost writers - but don't they have to acknowledge that in the book?
As far as "ghost writers", it depends on the terms of their contract. My cousin does astrology & is very good. At one point years ago, she was given the opportunity to ghost write for a very well-known astrologist who was syndicated in a lot of newspapers, but was getting too old to keep up with it. The contract was that there would never be mention of any of the fill-ins' names, or that the celebrity astrologist wasn't doing 100% of their own work. I believe they even arranged for several people to alternate doing the column, so readers wouldn't notice any consistent differences in the individual patterns of writing. They were contractually forbidden from trying to find out who else was working on the column, and even mentioning .. after that person died .. that they'd been writing it in part.
