As near as I can tell tonight is the premiere of this show. I saw Jeff Probst on a talk show discussing it this morning and it caught my attention and I will try to watch it tonight. While 'scripted', it is about real people with real challenges. I'm betting this will be another "kleenex" show.
(I hope this works... if you get past the first commercial it will show quite a bit about tonight's upcoming show. http://www.cbs.com/specials/live_for_the_moment/video/ )
Well, I had some interruptions but did see most of this show. I don't know if it will succeed or not. In my opinion it was kind of a combination of Make-a-Wish and Bucket List. They attempted to make a devasting situation a positive one by giving a dying man all sorts of 'happy moments' from reunions with old friends to doing things he had always wanted to experience. Of course very touching, but with a constant understone of sadness.. at least for me. At least with shows like Extreme Makeover Home Edition they are giving a family a new start... but on this one, there will be no new start. Obviously I'm a little conflicted on this one and will just have to see whether I will want to see it again or not. But I will say Jeff Probst was very good as the host ... nice to see him in a setting other than a jungle.
