In Response to Re: MR SELFRIDGE - Season Finale & Season 2:
Ok yes I watched it.. I was waiting for it as I have followed this all season and really enjoyed it.
I was surprised by the play.. I had no idea that the topic would be so controversial and it was great!!! although I do not think it would be very long running : >
I was unhappy that Henri left to go to New York but look forward to seeing how Agnes moves along.
There were some very sad issues as well but I guess there always are.
Really looking forward to the next season.

I was shocked by the show; not so much that it was all insider jokes about the Selfridge circle, but that Harry had treated Ellen & Frank generously all along, yet they stabbed him in the back in the end.
Now that you posted "Spoiler Alert", I can say that the romantic in me was very sorry that Henri left for New York .. and his French girlfriend. I wonder if there were contraceptives available back at that time, and if Agnes worried about that .. especially with him leaving.
I felt very sorry for Miss Mardle, and was glad she saw Mr. Grove for the cad that he turned out to be! One thing to seek companionship, when you're caring for a ill spouse for many years .. another to string someone along for a once-a-week hop-in-the-hay, after you've dumped them to marry someone younger!
I was surprised that Rose wouldn't categorically tell Harry she didn't care about the young painter, Mr. Temple, and consider it "even" with his Ellen Love affair .. without taking the family back to America.

Glad to see "spoiler alert" in bold print. I still have some catching up to do...
