This month marks the 5th anniversary of my diagnosis of breast cancer, stage 3, 13 cancerous lymph nodes.
In April of this year my husband was diagnosed with rectal cancer. He will have surgery in about 2 weeks after having 30 treatments of radiation and chemo pills at the same time as going through the radiation. Last Thursday he completed his 4th chemo treatment. After surgery, he will have 8 more chemo treatments to complete.
Being a caregiver by myself isn't easy but with God's strength - I am doing the best I can. I still have health problems from having my own cancer journey. My husband and I are a team and we take care of one another.
Nothing is impossible with God. So I have Faith that I will have the strength to take the best care of my husband, and we will continue to take one day at a time. It has been a rough road - and I know that everyone that has been through any type of cancer can relate to the ups and downs of going through cancer.
