Mil and I thank you for your kind words about how we need to lean on one another as we continue our battle with cancer. It is our prayer, the medical community will find a cure for the little Rascals but until that day arrives, we have to provide support for one another as you have stated.
We wish you the best of health this year and all the future years.
Thank you for your message. I am so happy to hear from you and your wife. You have inspired me - and you have made a huge difference in my life - during some really dark days for me. You came into my life when I needed encouragement and the inspiration you gave me. That's what being supportive and leaning on each other is all about, and I am truly grateful for your friendship.
A friend of mine that lives not too far from me - she is my dear friend - she is 87 years old. She has offered to take me to my doctor's visits - because now I am having to go to a Pain Management doctor - because the neuropathy in my feet has gotten so bad. So, I am going to take her up on her offer. Her going with me - will be that special comfort that makes such a difference for me. I am able to drive, so I will pick her up and we will have a great time just being together and try to fill a void in each other's life - by just spending time together.
My friend - her name is Nancy, is like you - very kind and compassionate and caring. Her husband passed away in 2007 and they had been married 63 years. She helps me with encouragement on being a survivor, and I try and help her through the grief and loss she feels. We have a special bond.
When we lean on each other - it makes a difference - knowing we have someone who is "holding" us up in a very special way. It is through these words we type and the message we write, and through prayer, that we can help one another. I have more friends on this AARP than I do in real life, and I would be lost without all these people like you, and the many others that have helped me so much. What a real blessing it is to have all these folks - that we all care about one another.
Thank you for your message. I wish you and Mil the most Happy New Year, and I pray that you are feeling good and that each day - you are feeling good. Please keep me posted on how you are doing, and your doctor's visits and tests.
