AARP says that their (supposed) primary mission is to provide accurate information for seniors as well as being advocates for their needs and interests. After reviewing their website, magazine, and press releases it has become clear that they refuse to provide us clear advice and honest interpertation of the biggest issues of our day- I assume in order to not make some powerful people angry. While their position to be non-partisan and not endorse a candidate is admiral and appropriate, the fact that they will not honestly compare and interpert the Obama vs the Romeny/Ryan Medicare plans is very disappointing. They can compare facts without coming out for a particular party. What good is an advocacy organization that will not clearly inform it's members in a simple manner what the truth is.
Most of us are confused by the politico-speech we are inundated with? We don't need to read once again position paper published by each candidate! How about some side by side comparisons and interpertation. Does AAPR just want to sell insurance?
