You know, I can tear up right now, just thinking about it, so I won't. At least I try not to. Jasmine is 13 years old. I can see she's beginning to fail some. Oh, she's still in good health for her age and I hope she has several years to go but I've been through it before, in fact, 3 times before, I know the way it feels. I know the loss. My dog, she's not just a dog. She is a family member. In fact, it is so hot out today, I am limiting Jasmine and my son's dog Patches from going outside. Patches, if you don't watch her, she will lie out in the sun. It is to hot out today for man or beast. Getting back to blessings of a friend named Jasmine. She wakes me every morning with puppy kisses. As soon as I tell her I'm going off, she goes into the bedroom until I come back home. Then, she's there to greet me at the front door. She's my buddy, she's my friend. She will listen to me when no-one else will. When the house is quiet and all is still, I know she is there.
