In Response to RE: Canine Introductions by anskyann
Hi! You know your dogs so I'm going to assume that you've seen your vet, covered all the bases (neutering, making sure he's well). That's the best start. Culture Clash or any title by Jean D. will take care of any concerns you may have. Our rescue group provides 'personality' tests. Notice I didn't say 'temperament' tests. These animals are not at their best when we meet them. They've been traumatized by abuse, neglect, cruelty, life on the streets, heart-wrenching owner 'give-ups'. They may have been in transition for months. Ya never know. 'What you get' initally may completely change over the next few days/weeks.
So much to think about.. Your group will match you up...ask them to meet your dog first! All info helps. From what you share, I'd tend to match you with a 'pushy' active, large female, spayed of course. She won't take any grief from the resident 'bully' (who's probably scared out of his wits!) and she just might turn him into a lover! Fostering helps so many who would otherwise be euthanized, and believe me, it will help you, too! DDC
