My 1 year old (tomorrow) Rescued ShihTzu-Lhaso Apso Mix was just diagnosed with bilateral patellar subluxation(his back knees "lock") and the vet said the only thing we can do at this time is to keep him underweight. Anybody have any experience with this and any pro-active steps we might take. Luckily, so far we haven't seen any symptoms. This was discovered on his yearly physical exam. Thanks for any suggestions.
