Collette is very organized. I always book directly through the company. As a single traveler, I always feel safe and the tour managers are very attentive to make sure the single travelers are included and have the opportunity to meet other sngles. I still have contact with 4 of the women I met on various travels. I prefer the Exploratioins travels because the numbers are smaller. In Ireland we had 21 on this tour but their other tours can be 40 or more, especially the most popular tours. My Italy tour was 42 but the tour managers are so outstanding they can handle without difficulty. As a group you always go directly to the front of lines for admission to museums, etc. They include lots of different activities. I loved the fact that we had 3 days in Rome on my Italy Tour. Their website gives you lots of good information. They have options because some things don't appeal to all and some peope like to take off on their own. They also have specials. They give an AARP discount for all of their trips, but you need to provide them with you name and AARP number when you register. Hotels are always very nice and centrally located. Of course some of the European hotels single rooms are smaller but very nice. They now provide a wonderful service if you lve within 50 miles to selected airports. They pick you up at your home and take you to the airport and are there to meet you when you get back. My sister has taken 12 trips with them. They do have a few leisure stay options which I like so you are not moving to a different hotel every night. I have never had a bad experience. I do wish they would provide a discount to frequent users but they don't. Some other companies do but they don't provide some of the other benefits. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the very helpful information. When I was on Martha's Vineyard last year, there was a Collette tour and the group was large, +40 people. I was concerned about that, but your response to this issue was reassuring. Hope you find what you're looking for with the Insight tour.
