Hi! Thanks for welcoming me into the World’s Traveler’s Club. My husband and I currently live in the Philippines and every year we travel to a different country in this part of the world, so we have been to India (north and south), Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand, S. Korea, Japan. I’ll post a video of our latest trip to southern India soon.
I’ll like to ask about a concern I have about the Northwest Airlines’ Frequent Flyer miles program. My husband and I have been traveling business class on NWA for almost ten years now and last year, we qualified for two round trip tickets on business class from Manila to Columbus, OH. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the same flights on any leg of the trip. I found out that this was because we are flying non-revenue tickets. If we are paying for our tickets, we can book seats on the same flights.
I feel that NWA is punishing us for being loyal customers and that we’re being discriminated against. This is not the best way to keep customers’ loyalty. Has anyone experienced this treatment? How did you deal with it?
I’d appreciate any suggestions that will help us get our preferred flights/schedules even on non-revenue tickets. Thanks!
