I am a gardener, so I have plenty of opportunities to reuse stuff. I use milk cartons, plastic bottles, juice cans, and yogurt cups for transplanting.
Whenever I purchase plants, I save the containers, wash thoroughly, and rinse with bleach to re-use again. Or I sometimes remove the bottoms ans use them for wind breaks when I transplant.
When my row covers become too worn to use, I cut them up and use for removable bases for my transplanting containers (attached with rubber bands).
Short blocks of wood become hold-downs for my row covers and shade cloths.
Any nice-sized microwave trays become trays for pots or seed-starting.
Old blankets are cut up for moisture absorbing fabrics under peat pots and tranplanted plants, using those microwave trays to hold water and holding plants above the water withmore re-used trays (preferably with holes for draining).
