I am planning a visit with my brother and his family this summer. I thought about how to get there and several options were obvious... Air Travel, Train, Car, Greyhound Bus.
Air travel is quick, but costly. Train travel is long, but picturesque. Car is exausting and the gas prices. Greyhound bus is long and so many stops, along the way.
Another option arose with my destination research... Those new Mega Bus Companies. They are super comfortable, double-decker and CHEAP. I checked on the price for my visit and one way is less than $10.00. These are express buses, that may stop at one or two cities along the way for 15 minutes at each stop. The trip would take the same time, as car travel, without having to drive or 8.5 hours.
I really like the price, since frugality is just a necesary way of life with me.
Have any of you every taken a bus trip, on one of those mega bus companies?
How was your experience?
