Let's face it. It's easier and much faster to make something up, than to do research and disprove a false statement. Ordinarily, this isn't a problem. But where the strategy to block health care reform is one of blocking honest coversation, and replacing it with disinformation, it's a real problem. Fortunately, there are a couple of sites that can help:
Politifact.com - They've done a pretty fair job of keeping up, although they've fallen behind on "the list" (you know the one...it pretends to "interpret" the House bill, but really contains mostly fabrications). Here's their site:
FactCheck.org - Also a useful site, but more useful on specific issues. Like Politifact, Factcheck has a "search" feature.
