On a whim I picked this quiet film for a Sunday night, and was sharing the theater with 4 other people. Guess they should've spent more on advertising.
Julianne Moore is an OBgyn married to college prof Liam Neeson. From the minimalist but opulent neoclassic interiors of their home we gather this is not a couple where money is an issue. But trust is. She suspects him of canoodling with his students and decides to test her theory by hiring a stunning call girl (Amanda Seyfreid) as bait. It gets a little odd, though, as the wife wants to hear all the details of their trysts, and pays her for it.
To say any more would spoil the story for other viewers, but it was intriguing, beautifully filmed, and definitely more a film for those of us who've been around the block a couple of times than those on a first date.
Sounds like a movie I might enjoy. Hope it makes it out this far. Maybe it will be in the SF Bay Area when I visit there
