Nice to see a romantic movie coming out, with all 3 starts being 50+: Meryl Streep (1949), Alec Baldwin (1958), and Steve Martin (1945).
Jane (Streep) is the mother of three grown children, owns a thriving Santa Barbara bakery/restaurant, and has - after a decade of divorce - an amicable relationship with ex-husband attorney Jake (Baldwin). But when Jane & Jake find themselves out of town for their son's college graduation, things start to get complicated. An innocent meal together turns into the unimaginable - an affair. With Jake remarried to the much younger Agness, Jane is now of all things, "the other woman"!
Caught in the middle of their renewed romance, is Adam (Martin), an architect hired to remodel Jane's kitchen. Healing from a divorce of his own, Adam starts to fall for Jane, but soon realizes he's become part of a love triangle."
Even the "much younger" second wife, is played by a 30-year old actress .. not a 23 year old!
Think this is one you'll want to see, or has Hollywood made it too "cutesy"?
I would watch any movie w/ Meryl Streep. I really like to see romatic movies with older people in them too.
