Like you mentioned, there were movies that scarred us when we were young, that wouldn't scare us today.
I remember when I was very young, trying to get under my seat when I saw "Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman", while today, being an older broad I might chuckle instead.
I think one of the old scariest movies I ever saw was "War Of The Worlds" and that had to be the Original. Seeing it in black and white also gave it an ominous feeling.
The other movie that I thought so scary was Alfred Hitchcock's, "The Birds" with Tippy Hedron. In fact even today, that movie would be scary to anyone, for it was that well done.
It truly was timeless, and I hope they do not try to remake it, for Alfred Hitchcock would find a way to do somersaults within his coffin! ;-)) It's also possible that he had that move protected! Shelby
that is certainly one I agree should not be made over. The Birds WAS scary and to this day if I see a lot of birds sitting on the wires, I shiver inside. LOL
Whatever Happened to Baby Jane was another good one - not particularly scary, but creepy!
