Yes, I agree Sara.This is a very difficult and sad case and I can imagine how frustrating it must especially be for the parents. People are wondering why Zimmerman has not be arrested? As I have said in the past, I am not an attorney however, I have worked in the Criminal Justice field for many years. Because the details of what really happened have not been determined, an arrest cannot be made. In order to arrest a person, there must be what we refer to in this field as Probable Cause (Causa Probable).
The test to determine whether probable cause existed for purposes of arrest is whether facts and circumstances within the officer's knowledge are sufficient to warrant a prudent person to believe a suspect has committed, is committing, or is about to commit a crime.In Treyvon's case, authorities are still working with witness testimony and other evidence.
As a society, we always hope that justice will be served. Let's hope that such will be the case here.
