As I had said in an ealier posting, you reach the point where nobody is worth that kind of money !
There has recently been an option at some venues where you may buy a "gold" or "preferred" or an " all access ticket", ( or some other name ) which seats you in the front pit and also allows you to meet the band backstage ( very briefly I am told ). That situation may be worth the hundreds of dollars, but I'm not sure....after-all, I paid $ 6.50 for my first Stones concer, lol !

There are several ways to get preferred seating as I am sure you know, including fan club membership with pre-public ticket purchases including those with meet and greets and certain level credit card membership which allows you pre-public access to tickets etc. All of these options are for fans who want more than the regular seating, and those fans are willing to pay for the privilege. I guess it all boils down to what you can afford and then like you said, what you think it is worth. I remember the World Series of Rock concerts here in Cleveland where you attended in the old football stadium and for the ticket price you saw a whole group of great bands and I think most of us have those memories.
