I've mever been rafting anywhere. I'm seventy four, but still think I could do it. I recently moved to Oregon, near the Rogue river. I'm going to try it next year. I've always wanted to see the Grand Canyou, but never have had the opportunity except of a jetliner.
The Rouge River is a beautiful river, if you can comfortable move about on uneven terrain and have an adventurous spirit you will really enjoy it. Bring good rain gear however!
There are 6-10 day motorized rafting trips in the Grand Canyon, which are very popular with the mature crowd and Elderhostel groups. The rafts are very comfortable and secure to ride on and the camping is made easy with cots, chairs and delicious food!
