anyone out there interested in modern day camping?? we live in upstate NY and like to camp in northern and western NY, trying Mass. this year. Also been to Maine, Vermont and hope to try New Hampshire soon. We are "young" seniors--not yet retired and hope to make some new friends. We usually camp with 2 or 3 other couples--but hey... the more the merrier!!!

We have reached the stage of 'travel' when we enjoy going to a beautiful 'spot', staying a while (maybe the entire time!), and going on to another nice locale; Bridgeport, CA. (eastern side of the Sierra, just beyond Yosemite) has some beautiful places to camp & fish (Twin Lakes; Virginia Lakes). One of my all-time favorite areas is...Rocky Mountain State Park! I'd enjoy going there every year or two! Zion Park is another favorite! We also enjoyed RV'ing outside Boston; stayed in a 4/5-star campground (close to the Patriots' stadium) that I'd have had little trouble moving into...permanently! www.aarp.org/community/editor/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/teeth_smile.gif" alt="" /> We enjoyed New York City/Hudson River area; planned to go to Niagra Falls, but we were unable to complete that 'leg'; very disappointing; I'm determined to complete it in the near future. Summer, 2010 or 2011, going to Alaska; have not yet decided modes of travel; cannot wait!!! Planning to see beautiful New England, preferably in the Fall, with all the colors; Canada is on the list; Patagonia/Chile, also, but I imagine an organized trip (maybe w/the Commonweath Club Travel Group/San Francisco) will be the way to make that trip!
!Buen viaje! Bon voyage! Cheers, Anna www.aarp.org/community/editor/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/shades_smile.gif" alt="" />
