My husband and I, both in our early 60's, have legal guardianship of our 4 year old grandson due to our daughter's mental instability. She has bipolar disorder. We have had him for over a year now and love him beyond measure. But, that doesn't mean that we don't worry. How does everyone cope with the loss of freedom? The exhaustion? The fear that we won't live long enough to get him raised? Some days I'm able to take things a day at a time, but then I get back to worrying!
