On July 22, 2009, Albert Lea announced 30 restaurants that signed a restaurant pledge as part of the AARP/Blue Zones Vitality Project. Since then, there has been one addtional restaurant added. So, now we have over 30 restaurants in Albert Lea that are working to bring heathy food options to the table for their customers that are looking for it.
How can area restaurants make it easier to eat healthier?
What would be some great healthy food choices that they could add to their menu?
Do you have any "healthy" recipes to share?
If a restaurant decided to have side options include salads or vegetables, how often would you opt for that choice?
