Listening to Dr. Nancy Snyderman this morning, I was surprised to learn that a daily stretch is absolutely necessary for the senior crowd even if unable to exercise.
I had thought that if the weather was unsatisfactory for outdoor activity or I was unable to get to an indoor facility such as a gym or mall to exercise, there was no other minimal requirement for physical fitness. Not so says Dr. Nancy as she explained the need to start the day with a stretch .
Rushing to Google for relief of my ignorance, I found a number of links providing support for the need of a daily stretch. Here's one:

Ahhh yes, daily stretching............that's what I love about Yoga!
When I think I don't have time, I correct myself by admitting to how much time I have spent on the computer every day. NO EXCUSES:)
