Stress and the feeling of Contentment and Well-being
For those resolved to reduce stress and meditate this is a wonderful book. It is also very short and read-able, which helps for those of use with limited time. Unfortunately I am so stressed out that many of the ideas did not work, yet I advise giving it a try.
He advises sitting quietly, focusing, and meditating.

Unfortunately, when I am "sitting quietly, focusing, and meditating," I often fall asleep. It's an affliction common to Old Folks. LOL
My method to calm down, which I have used on this board at times, is to wait up to 24 hours before I fire off a reply which may contain more anger than reasonableness.
