Subject: Skin cancer
I do not think older ladies should wear baseball caps and retired all mine a few years back.
However, I started wearing a baseball cap again this past summer because nothing else as effectively protects the nose from sun. I had met a lady who did have a large growth on her nose from the sun, but said it was not cancer.
Also, on the side of my face darkened pigment occurs year after year, but fades every winter.
I don't like baseball caps either or any hat for that matter. I have long thick hair that looks weird with a hat. When I was in the military and had to wear a hat, it was alright because my hair had to be up. It looked as professional as it could with the uniform.
I finally settled on the open top golf cap. They kind of have a headband to keep them on. They don't look bad with my hair and aren't so heavy on my head. Those kinds of hats actually work well to keep my hair out of the way when it's hot. That's my compromise to keep the rays off my face and nose.
Sendiing you love and light...
