I love the idea of mushrooms, especially when I'm cooking vegetarian. I haven't tried millet or spelt, but I should add those to my "experiment" list. Right now, I'm smitten with quinoa. It's so easy to cook! Even in my rice cooker, I tend to burn the rice on the bottom. But the quinoa was such a forgiving grain; I cooked it in a pot on the stove (low heat) without even stirring, and not one piece stuck to the bottom.
What I like about my rice cooker, is that everything is still chewy enough, rather than mushy. Thank God it shuts off by itself, because more than once I totally forgot it was on.
